Fish Science AlgaeClear is formulated to help prevent and control patches of brown and green algae commonly found on aquarium glass, decorations and hardscape materials. Excessive algae growth is often linked to nutrient imbalance, excessive lighting, organic waste accumulation or poor maintenance routines.
When used at the earliest signs of algae development, AlgaeClear helps limit the spread of nuisance algae while supporting cleaner aquarium presentation and improved visibility throughout the aquarium.
For best results, AlgaeClear should be used alongside good aquarium maintenance practices. Reducing lighting duration, increasing partial water changes and siphoning organic waste from the substrate all help reduce the nutrients algae rely upon to thrive. This combined approach helps improve long-term aquarium stability while reducing the likelihood of recurring outbreaks.
Following treatment, the use of Fish Science AquaBoost is recommended to help replenish and support beneficial bacterial populations within the filter system, particularly after larger maintenance routines.
